Chris Silkowski is Battery Team Lead at Treetown Tech. Before starting Treetown Tech’s Battery Team in 2024, Chris spent 23 years in lithium-ion battery R&D across T/J Technologies, A123 Systems, and Navitas Systems, where he last served in the capacity of R&D Director. Chris’ teams were responsible for prototype cell development, cell materials selection, pilot scale electrode and cell fabrication, and prototype cell testing. At A123, Chris led the cell chemistry development of the AHR18700M1 Formula 1 Racing cell, providing a winning season for Lewis Hamilton and an enduring product line. At Navitas, he conceived of and led the development of Navitas’ round form factor pouch cell for the U.S. Navy, as well as the internal chemistry of the 6T large form factor pouch cell for the U.S. Army. At Treetown Tech, Chris’ team provides battery tech consulting services, as well as engineering and assembly services for battery modules, battery packs, and BMS units.
